Chelsea secures Rogers, Arsenal seeks alternatives

Chelsea has reportedly secured the signing of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for a fee of £117million. This move comes after Arsenal had also shown interest in the England international. The official confirmation of Rogers’ transfer to West London is anticipated soon.

Following this development, Arsenal is now exploring alternative attacking options. The club is expected to announce the signing of Christos Tzolis. Additionally, Nico Williams has re-emerged as a target for the Premier League champions.

Arsenal is also reportedly pursuing Bruno Guimaraes. Other potential alternatives for Arsenal after missing out on Rogers include Bradley Barcola of Paris Saint-Germain and Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. Both players are expected to command significant transfer fees.

Other notable transfer activities

In other transfer news, Manchester United has acquired Tynan Thompson from Tottenham. United is also looking to intensify efforts to sign Manu Kone and has initiated talks with Crystal Palace for Ismaila Sarr. Sarr, a Senegal international, scored 21 goals across all competitions last season.

Tottenham, having already spent over £200m this summer, could finalize deals for Savinho and Pedro Neto. Meanwhile, Liverpool is reportedly interested in Spain’s World Cup final player, Ferran Torres.

Mohamed Salah is set to continue his career in Turkey, with the Egypt forward expected to sign for Besiktas. Manchester United is also considering Nottingham Forest wing-back Neco Williams, who can play on either flank.
